"We're going to look at the Trump revolution and see how this can be achieved in Britain," Truss declared. "Our guests will include the key figures of the Make America Great Again campaign."

A Controversial Partner

Her effort to bring Maga media to the UK has aligned her more closely to contentious individuals such as the journalist.

While the former PM's unnatural presentation and career difficulties have drawn derision in Britain, certain American analysts are not discounting her efforts to reinvent herself as a local version of the pro-Trump media ecosystem.

"You have to take folks like that seriously, even if you may not want to take them literally," stated a Democratic strategist, who worked in the Biden White House.

"Observers witnessed how in the recent campaign the former president utilized that media network to disseminate his views. Certainly that ecosystem exports and influences debate abroad. It seems relatively clear to me that the conditions in the United Kingdom are similar to what enabled this parallel press sphere to prosper in America."
